Description: A GTK-based monitoring app

Hot-babe is a small graphical utility which display the system activity in a very special way. When the CPU is idle, it displays a dressed girl, and when the activity goes up, as the temperature increases, the girl begins to undress, to finish totally naked when the system activity reaches 100%. Of course, if you can be shocked by nudity, don’t use it!.

This package is in Medibuntu because of its explicit content.

A few days ago, someone filed a bug in Medibuntu, asking for the removal of hot-babe: https://bugs.launchpad.net/medibuntu/+bug/132254. Well, I am not going to start a new debate about this, only giving some thoughts. I totally agree with the fact that this program is not suitable for an inclusion into Ubuntu. But Medibuntu is different: it isn’t an official repository, it’s community- managed, and therefore doesn’t have the same requirements. Even if several people find it shocking, hot-babe is an open-source application, released under the Art License. Besides, the default pictures were drawn by Bruno Bellamy (see http://bellaminettes.com/), and many women find these ‘Bellaminettes’ very nice (http://bellaminettes.com/bm/filles/filles.php). To put in a nutshell, I want to say that I am a packager, and I try to help improving users experience of Ubuntu by packaging apps: hot-babe isn’t available in any Ubuntu repository (except Medibuntu), that’s why I am not going to remove it. :)
