About me

My name is Lionel Le Folgoc (also known as mr_pouit). I’m a 27-year-old French IT engineer.

My LinkedIn public profile should be what you are looking for. Feel free to contact me directly if you want a classic Curriculum Vitae.

I am currently involved in several Open Source projects.

I am a Ubuntu MOTU, a Ubuntu Core Developer, the former Xubuntu Technical Lead, and the creator of the now deceased Medibuntu project. More details are available on my Launchpad page. I have been an admin of the Ubuntu French locoteam‘s forum moderation team until mid-2008, and a technical admin of the forum until end-2009). A maybe-up-to-date summary of my Ubuntu projects and packaging work can be found on Launchpad.

I have been maintaining packages in Debian as well, such as ffmpegthumbnailer. Besides I am a member of the pkg-xfce team (see my maintainer page for more details).

I am also a regular contributor to Xfce: besides usual patch and bugfix stuff, I implemented a video thumbnailer for Tumbler, and added RandR >= 1.2 support to xfce4-settings. Lately, I have been porting xfce4-volumed to PulseAudio and developing a small tool to migrate Thunar emblems from TDB to GVfs.

Of course, this is just a short summary; my weblog is also a good way to know what I am working on now (there’s also my list of not-so-useful git branches.
